S.P.A.M. / SMT


S.P.A.M. meets the first Friday of the Month from 12:00pm - 1:30pm in Westminster Hall.


S.P.A.M. stands for Senior Presbyterian Adult Ministry which is a fellowship for those 55+ in our church and community.

 

S.P.A.M. meets the first Friday of the month, October through May. SPAM holds its gatherings in Westminster Hall with a lunch, devotions and program beginning at 12:00 and ending at 1:30pm.  A “Friendship Punch Bowl” begins at 11:30 for those arriving early. We also host an annual picnic in August.

 

SMT, our Senior Ministry Team does all of the planning and prep for the SPAM gatherings and field trips.  There are 13 team members and we meet on the Monday preceding the SPAM gathering at 10:00 in the library.  In addition, we have an evaluation meeting in June and a pre-planning meeting in September to plan the SPAM year.


S.P.A.M. Handbell Ringers are a part of the Senior Presbyterian Adult Ministry at the First Presbyterian Church of Everett. The mission of the S.P.A.M. Bell ringers is to share music with those who live in senior living residences and health care facilities. The group plays a variety of music including patriotic and Broadway tunes, Christmas carols, spirituals and hymns.

Your SPAM team looks forward to having you join with us on Friday, December 1st for a program of Christmas music by the Salt Grass Dirt Band.  If you attended two years ago when this lively group entertained us, you know you don’t want to miss out on hearing them again.   Spread the word and invite someone who hasn’t attended before. 


Plan to arrive at 11:30 for a time to socialize over a cup of punch.  Lunch will be served at noon.   Look for the S.P.A.M. table in Westminster Hall to sign up or call Marilyn Minch at 425-259-3630 or Jan Weakley at 360-691-7085.  To help with the meal planning, please make your reservation by Monday, November 27th.  The cost of the lunch will be $7.50
